Sex Book About J-Lo

August 18th 2006 01:43
Jennifer Lopez at a 2006 Gala Event*

Long, long ago, before Marc Antony, the Bennifer disaster, always-in-white Puff Daddy and back up dancer Chris Judd, there was another man in J-Lo’s life. His name was Ojani Noa and he was the Latin pop diva’s first husband.

In February 1997, Jennifer Lopez wed Ojani Noa and exactly one year later, it seems Miss Lopez found her calling as a serial divorcer. But we never really heard about this Ojani dude except that for some time, Lopez made him Manager of her LA Restaurant, Madre’s.

Now, all fire and hell has broken loose as Noa proposes to publish a ‘tell-all’ book about his time with J-Lo. Private details about her sex life, that is. And judging from the title of the book, The Unknown Truth, A Passionate Portrait of A Serial Thriller, it’s gonna be a juicy read.

In April this year, Lopez obtained a temporary injunction preventing Noa from publishing intimate details about her. Until recently, she was planning on suing her former lover but today, attorneys on both sides announced the matter would not be going to court.

Instead, the pair will enter into private negotiations to settle the dispute. J-Lo’s attorney reported that a letter was received in January this year, claiming Noa would not market his book if he was paid US $5 million.

Similarly, in October 2005, Noa received a nice US $125,000 paycheck from J-Lo in another private settlement after he alleged being illegally fired as manger of the restaurant.

Is he just doing it for the money? Sounds like it. But then again, she’s been a #1 female singer, dancer and actress with her own clothing line, range of perfumes and much more. I suppose she’s got enough to pay Noa, feed all of Africa and still live in luxury…

That sounds a lot like blackmail. Give me lots of money or I'll publish my book! When does blackmail become illegal?

Definetly is blackmail. Publishing a book about your ex-wife's sex life is pretty low. These are intimate moments you shared that should stay private forever, unless both parties consent.

I imagine a lot of celebs would be blackmailed by former lovers/friends who feel left out or left behind.

It's really low to do that, but I guess these people are clinging desperately on their "claim to fame", which in reality isn't their's, but who they were associated with once..

That's right. If you're a good person, you'd be happy for your ex and all the success that has come their way. I guess it's easier said than done though, isn't it...

hmm if this book has pics of j-lo doing the deed maybe i would take a look at it for investigative purposes. purely, looking at this picture book on an academic basis mind you hahaha.

however, i do agree with justin. this is just the bottom rung of 'celebrity' but as a public we are all to blame for consuming such trash allowing such a market to exist. hell, this entry is dedicated to this and i am commenting on it!

i need a hot, scolding shower now.

well my learned friend - i need to inspect ms. lopez's body for any potential health risks since i have no medical degree and would be conducting my diagnosis via a book i think that would be appropriate, don't you think? it is all for the health and safety of j-lo here!
